Sculpting with Light
This intensive master class explores the ancient "paste of glass" technique—Pâte de Verre—through three distinct botanical lenses.
Students will move beyond basic casting to master sifting, packing, and multi-stage kiln forming in this 6-day workshop with glass artist Sky McDonagh.
Using Bullseye Glass exclusively, participants will create delicate glass flowers, a structural botanical cup and saucer, and high-dimension abstract forms.
The curriculum balances technical precision—such as investment mold making and kiln-forming over fiber board—with the organic, one-of-a-kind nature of botanical art.
